NZ Building Code Compliance

Kingspan Insulated Roof Panel Easy Installation
Kingspan insulated roof and wall panels are designed to meet the performance requirements of the New Zealand Building Code (NZBC), giving designers, specifiers and building owners confidence in the performance of the building envelope.

Kingspan insulated panels have been successfully used on New Zealand buildings since 2004, and are manufactured in New Zealand to rigorous quality standards.

Compliance with the applicable requirements of the New Zealand Building Code is through independent testing, engineering assessments and comprehensive technical documentation. This provides designers, specifiers and consent authorities with the evidence required to support product selection and building consent applications.

Our New Zealand technical team is available to provide product-specific compliance documentation, technical advice and specification support to help ensure a smooth project approval process.

Our products comply with the following NZBC clauses:
  • B1 Structure — B1.3.1; B1.3.2; B1.3.3 (a, f, g, h, j); B1.3.4

  • B2 Durability — B2.3.1(b)

  • C3 Fire Affecting Areas Beyond the Fire Source — C3.4(a); C3.5; C3.7

  • E2 External Moisture — E2.3.1 (roof only); E2.3.2; E2.3.7

Some imported products – such as Architectural or Evolution wall panels are CodeMark™ Certified Products.

CodeMark™ certification, is one of the highest levels of product assurance available in New Zealand. CodeMark™ is a product certification scheme that provides an accepted means of demonstrating compliance with the New Zealand Building Code when products are used within the scope and conditions of the certificate. Kingspan's CodeMark™ certification was independently assessed by SAI Global, which evaluated our manufacturing processes, quality management systems, product performance and installation details against the requirements of both the Australian and New Zealand Building Codes.
