Cameron Sports Complex
Contemporary aesthetic with Kingspan K-PIR Evolution and K-PIR Roof Panels.
Following community consultation for the future of Wellington Shire in Victoria, a multimillion-dollar expansion and refurbishment of the local Cameron Sporting Complex Stadium in Maffra was approved to help meet existing and future demand.
The $9.5 million Cameron Sporting Complex Stadium Redevelopment Project included: the extension of the gymnastics floor area and facility roof space for competition trampolining; the development of two multipurpose indoor courts for netball, basketball and volleyball; new changerooms; redeveloped amenities; and storage areas. The project also included permanent seating for up to 1000 people, improved accessibility throughout the complex, and the redevelopment of access roads and carparking areas.
An interesting architectural feature was created by leveraging a break in the multi-groove Evolution panels so the lines of the 100mm panel did not fully match with the 50mm panel below.
To complete the design, Kingspan’s K-PIR Roof Panels in 60mm were used as the roofing solution. K-PIR Roof Panels are a high-performance roofing system designed to meet thermal building regulation compliance. KS1000 Day-Lite Trapezoidal polycarbonate rooflight in Opal was integrated with the KS1000RW system to provide natural light transmission.
