Planet Passionate is Kingspan’s global environmental sustainability programme, focused on driving meaningful progress across three major environmental challenges: climate change, circularity and protecting the natural environment.

Through the programme, Kingspan has established ambitious targets for 2030, supported by action across four key areas: carbon, energy, circularity and water.

For Kingspan Insulated Panels, Planet Passionate provides a framework for continually improving how we manufacture and operate, while supporting the wider transition towards a lower-carbon built environment.

Our focus areas:

1. Carbon

Reducing the carbon impact of our operations and supply chain is a key priority.

Through Planet Passionate, we are working to minimise carbon (CO₂e) emissions from our manufacturing operations as far as technically possible, while also reducing carbon intensity across our primary supply chain.

2. Energy

We are focused on increasing the use of renewable energy and improving energy performance across Kingspan operations.

This includes generating more renewable energy at our own facilities, increasing renewable energy consumption and continually looking for opportunities to operate more efficiently.

3. Circularity

Moving towards a more circular approach means considering how materials are sourced, used and managed throughout their lifecycle.

Planet Passionate supports increased use of recycled and renewable materials, reduced waste to landfill and the development of take-back and recycling initiatives that can help keep valuable resources in use for longer.

4. Water

Water is a valuable natural resource, and responsible management is an important part of reducing our environmental impact.

Across Kingspan, initiatives include increasing rainwater harvesting and identifying opportunities to use water more efficiently across our operations.
